Hoffman Estates Economic Development Commission

The Economic Development Commission is an advisory body established by the Village of Hoffman Estates to promote business growth and community prosperity. It is composed of nine members appointed by the Village President with Board of Trustees approval, representing diverse sectors such as finance, corporate, manufacturing, real estate, retail, hospitality, education, and the Chamber of Commerce. Members serve staggered two-year terms, while the Village Manager and Economic Development Director serve as non-voting ex officio members.

The Commission’s responsibilities include monitoring legislative tools that support economic development, organizing business promotion events, assisting with business retention and attraction, supporting small businesses, encouraging local shopping and workforce development, and reviewing the Village’s annual economic development report. The Commission meets quarterly, or as needed, under the leadership of its appointed chair.
